Star Trails
by ILoveTTATT inone of the things that i have only done once... but i would love to do again and again until i perfect the technique, is called star trails.. my camera is a canon 60d.
there is a way to "hack" the canon dslr's so that they get some amazing functionalities, such as taking a picture just by clapping (really cool for when you want to take a picture and no one is able to push the button) and taking pictures at certain intervals.. you can read more about this "hacking" on .

I'm currently teaching him to field strip an AK-47 blind folded. He’s gotta learn that before starting school.

next month maybe you can teach him to drive
What are you talking about? He will likely be dead by next month according to some of the lovely posters here.
BTW- I also let him play in the middle of the street on a busy highway.... how else is he gonna learn to watch out for cars?

EOM- gun is kept in a safe. Are you afraid of your own shadow?
Rub- Yes, because that's the logical next step. What an ass backwards argument.
Shirley- out of reach and locked in a safe are 2 different things. it happens. yes, when parents are too lazy or too stupid to show their kids proper fear and respect for firearms.
Millions of gun owners and approx 11000 gun related homicides/ suicides a year.
I didn’t intend to start a gun rights argument. You people are funny. Americans are all irresponsible loons apparently.

Truth- thank you.
Snare- i would too. Unfortunately, wood and clay pigeons or anything that would leave a mess are not allowed. About 1000 yards away however, there is an open field where you could shoot clay pigeons.
One day I would like to get a Mossberg shotgun and a clay launcher. I went clay shooting once. It was awesome.

Lots and lots of whisky and Nyquil?
I remember my mom going through this when I was a teen. She would open a window and place a box fan in it on high in the middle of winter.
She would also place ice packs wrapped in a wash cloth under her clothes to keep cool.
And moody, boy was she moody. We as men often have to go through this twice in our life. Once with mom and a second time with our wife. Ohh poor us…

It was incredibly safe. When anyone would yell “hold fire” everyone stopped immediately and we could go down range and put up new targets or pick up our mess. Other parents were there with their kids teaching them how to safely handle their fire arms. The 2 main reasons we went were one, I hadn’t shot my .40 yet and 2, my neighbor was sighting in his .30-06 for hunting.
Zeb- it was really clean, there were no trash cans so everyone was responsible for what they brought in and took out. Casings and all.
Jeff – that picture I took was with him holding an empty gun. I just wanted to get a profile picture of him in that stance. The .40 does kick too much for him to handle. I would hold it while we shot together.
Smiddy – it would be if he didn’t have help and adult supervision.
Nicolaou- I’m not even going to dignify such an ignorant comment.
Yadda- you’ve shit all over some of my other posts in the past. You don’t have to comment if you don’t have anything constructive to say. Move on if you wish and shit on someone else.
I go shooting once or twice a year. Its fun. I love my second amendment rights. I am a concealed carry permit holder as well. I think we will go more often now that we know this place is here. For those of you who poo poo on shooting guns, why not try it once. If you don’t like it then don’t do it again. My wife is not a big gun lover but I got her to go shooting once and now she enjoys it. There’s something incredible about holding a fire arm and squeezing the trigger. For some, they just don’t get it.
A well armed society is a polite society.
